TZ Notiz Heft

As my girlfriend and close friends know, I always scribble my ideas and thoughts down. Since those journals or notebooks from the store are too boring for me and have no history I thought about making a "TZ Notiz Heft" which is German for journal. The layout and everything is still in the making but I wanted to post the status as it is so far.
I want to print a few more to give them to friends for their birthday or maybe anybody just needs a Notiz Heft like me from time to time.

There is just one problem: How do I print a small quantity, lets say 10, for little money?

I thought of 3 ways: 1.) DIY Screenprint, 2.) Transfer Print using transparent sheet for an overhead projector OR 3.) Linoleum Print ( which is hardly impossible because of the small words)

any more ideas?

These were my first sketches in my journal:

TZ Notiz HeftTZ Notiz Heft

And here is my first rough draft and my first try to print it using a transparent sheet and my normal printer at home:

IMG_6834TZ Notiz Heft

As you can see, the typing is not final at all. I wrote it by Hand and will make it professional when I am sure about layout and design.
I am still on the hunt for more vintage inspiration from the old GDR and FRG. I already purchased an old "Heft" from eBay which is dated 1958 and maybe I like the font or the layout or get some other inspiration.

TZ goes College

college shirt, trendzeta collection
For a while now I am thinking of some Trendzeta shirts. I had some ideas in my head and finally put them down on paper and then on my computer screen.
They are all timeless and not fancy at all. They all base on the American college and high school style. My dad is actually the first person who asked for a shirt. I think I am going to print the first and last one for me. All colors and print sizes are adjustable so think of these pictures as my first thoughts and drafts. I wanted to make something I would wear in a few years as well. I think these are wearable for sport and daily occasions. Some thoughts and criticism from you is highly wanted! Cheers!

IRC Dance Movement

The guys from “Illusionary Rockaz” mix up great artistic talent with new media. I think this combination is wonderful and 100% esthetic.

Wooden Bike Shelf

I have to post this since I have a bike which is worth showing off and since this shelf is looking so good!!
Here is what Chris Brigham from knifeandsaw says about this shelf on his site:
While visiting many friends small apartments here in SF and more so in NY, I noticed that there is a void when it comes to elegant bike management. Bikes always get in the way – either in the hall, or leaning up against a bookshelf or something. So, I decided to design something to fix that problem. Until I think of a better name, I am calling it the Bike Shelf.
Email him for inquiries or orders. The walnut version is 300$ and the ash versions costs 270$!

Metroplastique Street Art

Metroplastique Supakitch and Koralie

Alright this pieceof street art fascinated me so much.
Two french artists named Supakitch and Koralie grouped together to make something unique at the Världskulturmuseet in Göteborg, Schweden. The work is part of the Kimono Fusion Exhibition and aims to give the people a better understanding of the Japanese culture.

To live and ride in LA - Teaser

This movie was in the making for over a year and is about the L.A. underground fixed-gear culture. It is directed by David Rowe (Fast Friday).
This movie will challenge your perception of L.A., which is known for anything else but fixie culture.
In the discription it says about the music used:
The soundtrack for To Live & Ride in L.A. highlights top artists from record labels such as Dangerbird Records(dangerbirdrecords.com), Dim Mak Records, Anticon, SWTBRDS, and I Heart Comix and includes music by Silversun Pickups, Hot Hot Heat, Bad Veins, The Willowz, Minus The Bear, Bambu, DaVinci, Crown City Rockers, Datarock, Kid Infinity, Sea Wolf, From Monument To Masses, Darker My Love... and more!

TZ Berlin Sweatshirt

Trendzeta, Sweatshirt, TZ

Some time ago my girlfriend requested this sweatshirt from me. First, it was a sketch on a small piece of paper, but she liked it. And since we went out for a really nice dinner yesterday, I finally managed to complete the design in big scale.
With the help of a friend I printed it on a grey H&M sweatshirt. I also wanted the whole thing still look like a sketch, therefore the type is not "accurate" as well.
She likes it, and that is what counts.

Any more sweatshirt requests ;) ?

Do you know any good sites that offer really good and often free music? I know one for a few weeks now:
Hypetrack, made from the makers of Hypebeast, is a really good source for the newest (free) promotional songs.

Again, their weekly set (Volume 29) is really good and also includes the two newest Kanye songs.
The number one this week is a Carlos Santana and Nas collabo.

Enjoy and become a fan of Hypetrack as well.

Sky Planter by Boskke

How about adding some urban gardening elements to your room or office?

I think Boskke's idea and implementation is amazing. They save space and water. Here is what they say about the Sky Planter on their website:
"Normal potted plants lose water through evaporation and drainage. The BOSKKE Sky Planter’s unique reservoir feeds water gradually to the plant’s roots."

The Sky Planter can be both used indoors and outdoors since it does not loose any water.

Its just as simple as their slogan on their website :"Turn gardening on its head".

Retro Handlebar Bike Bag

I love this bag! Its a little girly but who cares. It would so fit my retro bike I have put together this summer. There are even some more great bike gadgets on ETSY.

The Handlebar Bag is made out of light tan leather and blue and white striped cotton fabric.
The attachable shoulder strap converts this bag into a purse when you’re not on your bike ( this information is more likely to be interesting for girls).

OR you just carry it like a clutch.

Leather, gets better with age so buy this bag and keep it for your children.

Digital Life in 2014

How do you imagine your digital life will look like in 4 or more years?

The guys from TAT just released a little movie with their ideas of how life could look like.
A little unrealistic tho, is the 2010 keybord and magic mouse from apple. They made up those extendable cell phones but did not think of a keyboard. They may like them how they are already.

That is just a little weak point but apart from that, this video is GREAT!
My favorite is the cell for sure.

Interactive Tipp-Ex commerical

Tipp Ex A Hunter

What a great commercial/advertisement from Tipp-Ex.
I first saw it on whudat and yesterday my good friend Lars the architect also send me the link.

The video is called “A hunter shoots a bear”, but the hunter does not want to shoot the bear. Instead the hunter adresses YOU, the person who watches the video, to type in any ver instead of "shoots".
Also the hunter is grabbing the Tipp-Ex from the right AD out of the youtube video. Its an interactive advertisement approach. So good.

Experience it yourself HERE.

Try any word. I liked "hugs", "plays" or "pee"....

Enjoy!

Container Thinking

Imagine a two story house, for under 50 grand, which you can furnish with whatever you want and place walls whereever you want. Or just add a office building for some bucks.

All that is possible with old ship containers.
Just googling "container home" gives you so many ideas of what is possible with so little money. Better than any flat or town house.
They also make great and affordable office spaces and retail shops. How flexible.

Thinking of ways how to arrange them for my personal interests makes me so creative.
