Save Bookmark DIY

Many of you probably have bookmarks laying around, which you got with your last purchase of a book?!
But there are other options, one is totally free and you just need a printer, a piece of paper and a scissor.
Simple and funny! Enjoy and comment if you like it or even have printed it out.

Bike Project- Sticker just arrived

The Logo for the front did not come out well though. Will have to get it done once more but the rest is great.

The bikes name is going to be BIROTA 1.0.

Birota is latin for bike, wheel, bicycle or cycle!
My brother is also working on a bike which is going to be named BIROTA 2.0!

What do you think, is the name oldschool enough?
I think it sounds good :)

Will provide pictures with the logo and the finished bike soon.

Antón García Abril "La Trufa"

Well if I would have enough money I would go out in the woods and start building this amazing piece of art that I have just seen on the web.

In English this piece is called "The Truffle".

Antón García Abril is a Spanish musician and composer but his creative mind produced this "building" as well.

The Truffle involved pouring concrete over hay bales stacked and burried inside soil from the surroundings.
Some more steps created a space within a stone that sits on the ground and blends with the territory.

Enjoy this video and the urgent felling of wanting to go out and get creative.

Also see Dezeen for more information and pictures.

Dear DIY friends as well as bike fans,
its done and my bike project just needs the final touch. The new stickers are missing but will be ordered whenever I have Photoshop again. Let me know what you think and leave some comments. I had a bike from the 50s or 60s in my head or even older and think I almost hit it.

Bike ingredients:
Old Bike from Ebay - 17€
Brooks Saddle in Brown from Ebay - 35€
Bar Tape in Brown from Fizik, Ebay - 4,50€
Green Paint, Duplicolor - 7 €
Silver vintage pedal - 5 €
and some hours getting the old paint off and repainting it!

I already postet the bike logo once but I am still in contact with my brother to touch up the design and letttering!

I was inspired by some great bikes I found on the web as seen below.

DIY Cap hang

Dear Do it Yourself friends,
this is my second post about DIY projects. This is even easier than the last one.

You just need 2 cheap things, power strip and wodden clothes pins and some hats or sunglasses or anything you want to hang up as seen in the picture below:

Next you need a free wall or just a shelf where you want to hang up your hats. I have choosen the side of a shelf in my room:

After finding a neat spot just hang a clothes pin up with your power strip ( you can also cut the power strip to the right size so that its almost invisible).

And voila, its done and you can hang up anything you want for a spent of around 5 € or $!

I have seen this easy idea over at abeautifulmess, elsie flannigans personal blog!

You can try this idea in many variations, one neat picture from the blog mentioned above will be on the bottom of this post!

Have a good time and enjoy life!

DIY Bookshelf

Dear Do It Yourself and home decor fans,

my brother has send me some pictures of his DIY booksheld that he has finished just this weekend.
It cost him around 3 Euros, the whole shelf. He got this 40 years old book at "Humana" just around the corner from his flat in Darmstadt. He had the metall angle laying around and the Tesa Power Strip in his drawer. He got the piece of wood from an old drawer that was laying around infront of his flat.

After gathering all the materials he started chopping off the pages in the book but not the edges, since he wanted to look the book untouched and original.

After doing that he just screwed the angle to the piece of wood.

He wanted the piece of wood to fit in the book to hide the wood.

He used the Tesa Power Strip to fix the last page of the book to the piece of wood and screwed the angle to his wall.

And TADAAA its done and he can put his favourite books on it and be proud about his DIY project.

I hope you liked the project and give my brother some props :) Keep it postin bloggers and TrendZeta's!

Future DIY Project

Start a Guerrilla Drive-in (aka MobMov)!

In 3 Stichpunkten:

1. Zu einem MobMov fahren
2. Radio anmachen
3. Zurücklehnen und entspannen!

Was fehlt mir noch dazu, dass ich so etwas in Berlin starten kann? Der Beamer und der FM Transmitter! Wer will spenden?
